Hi there, I'm Manisha! My name is Manisha Chulani, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 101388. I'm a woman from a minority background, and as such, in my therapy practice, my style is gentle, compassionate, and culturally informed. My aim is to foster a sense of safety and trust that allows you to grow into the person you are. My approach I feel that my clients know who themselves the best and my work is to allow them to see their true essence. I use various modalities including a psychoanalytic perspective and provide skills training that they can utilize such as DBT to help clients empower themselves. My focus I enjoy working with individuals (children, adolescents, young adults, adults) who would like to have insight and want to find tools to reduce distress to have a life that they envision. My communication style Working with me would feel like being with someone who does not judge them and accepts them unconditionally so that they can feel safe to be who they truly are. My journey to therapy As a middle schooler, I have always wondered about how others think and how I too think. I have had different life experiences that made me the person that I am and I feel that the guides, counselors, and healers helped me and I feel I would like to share that healing with others. I can empathize with others based on some of my experiences. My goals for you I work collaboratively with clients to see what goals they have for themselves and help clients with their goals. My first session with you Our first session would be the intake session to learn about each other, go over other logistical concerns such as confidentiality and session expectations, and ask them what brings them to counseling at this time.
